In my final post about #WomenLeaders who are acting with #StrengthandCourage, and in keeping with the season of awards ceremony and the #Oscars – its last years Emmys Actress Round Table.
Its a great panel discussion about being a visible woman and bringing your craft to the public domain, and all that entails. Both pain and pleasure.
It has Kirsten Dunst (‘Fargo’) joined six fellow television actresses for The Hollywood Reporter’s Drama Actress Emmy Roundtable including Julianna Margulies (‘The Good Wife’), Jennifer Lopez (‘Shades of Blue’), Kerry Washington (‘Scandal,’ ‘Confirmation’), Sarah Paulson (‘American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson,’ ‘American Horror Story: Hotel’), Regina King (‘American Crime,’ ‘The Leftovers’), and Constance Zimmer (‘UnREAL’).

Merry Christmas to one and all as we celebrate the birth of Christ. I’m thinking of the strength + courage of Michelle Obama’s hope this morning, as chronicled in the New Yorker. In the midst of church, presents, food and family, it’s worth the read.
Enjoy!
So where have I been? Because it’s been ages. Two words: America and Canada. I’ll come onto Canada later. Today we start with America.
In October I had the most amazing time in New Haven, about an hour from New York. I went to Yale University to study Leadership. I met some amazing women from around the world; Ghana, Austria, France, California, Mexico, United Emirates… and the list go on. It was truly humbling.
I learnt a lot. In fact my action plan has 63 entries. There was however, one binding lesson running through all the topics. Weather we were discussing negotiation, decision making, giving feedback, innovation or crisis management.
I learnt that good leadership has nothing to do with you and your own personal needs. It’s about being in service to your team and, the objectives of the organisation. Nothing to do with you! Not one bit. Being a leader means to serve others. Full stop.
Enjoy!

So, i’m just back from Manhattan, and came back for one of the great dates of the British calendar, London Fashion week. I had a great time. The stand out moment was meeting the lovely Irish designer Chupi. I picked up a lovely delicate piece that was shaped as an arrow. Its part of a collection called follow your dreams. Thats us grinning from ear to ear. You can check out her pieces yourself here: www.chupi
That day got me thinking about the importance of following your dreams, and how that’s easier said then done. If you have big dreams and are looking for some inspiration to kick start you on your way, then you are invited to this free webinar here. I am hosting it on the 8th of October at 11am GMT.
I hope to see you there!
Happy summer and, I do hope you enjoyed the Olympics. What a celebration of human courage!
One of the things my clients often talk about is the fear of failure. This is common to lots of us. I don’t think it ever really goes away, no matter how successful you get.
So this week I’m posting an amazing video about the Iron Nun. She is phenomenal. She feels the fear and does it anyway. I love it.
After seeing this, the phrase ‘I’m too old’, is never going to cut it.
What does she inspire you to do on your ‘maybe’ list? How can you live a life of courage and fun?
If your looking to collaborate on an inspirational goal, drop me an email here.
Enjoy!
I hope you enjoyed that, it was a clip from one of my favorite contestants- Danni. Danni won the biggest loser USA in season 14.
I know the program is controversial. There are press reports around drastic weight practices.
Regardless how you might feel about the weight loss approach, at the broadest level I see the programme as a vivid example of transformational change.
I think it highlights five key elements of any successful transformation:
